Commissioning Luncheon, Army Air Corps (AAC) Officers’ Mess, Middle Wallop,1978.
The group photograph records the commissioning of two REME warrant officers from two separate units within the AAC Centre.
On the left in the front row is Lt ‘Bob’ Hope, previously RSM of 70 Aircraft (70 Ac) Workshop and on the right is Lt ‘Ian’ Keil, formerly ASM (Artificer Sergeant Major) with 13 MAG (Maintenance Advisory Group), Aircraft Branch (Ac Br) REME. Backing up the newly commissioned officers are, Left to Right: Lt Col IF Ledger, CO (Commanding Officer) 70 Ac Wksp; Col RC Bish, CEA (Chief Aircraft Engineer) and CO Ac Br; Maj RW Mills, OC (Officer Commanding) 12 MAG and Lt Col R Preece, OC Planning and Services Wing, Ac Br.
